Tekoa Learning Centers is a non-profit faith-centered organization based out of Omaha, Nebraska. We start learning centers in under resourced areas. We believe that everyone matters and has something to offer. We strive to have leadership-tenacity to be Christ-centered, conviction-driven, hope-inspiring and life-giving.

Luis Enrique & Myhiah Torres
FOUNDERS/CEO
Myhiah had a heart to missions at a young age and moved to Mexico from Nebraska over 10 years ago. At a worship night in Mexico, she met her husband Luis Enrique & together they run Tekoa Learning Centers.
After living 8 years and starting two Tekoa locations in Monterrey, Myhiah moved to Chihuahua, MX with her husband and are now in the works of starting their 3rd location. Together they dream of seeing brokenness turned into hopefulness.

They love to bake homemade bread & pizza and travel as often as possible!
Jamison Horton
VICE PRESIDENT
Jamison is the Co-Lead Pastor at Citylight Benson, a multi-ethnic church in Omaha, Nebraska. Throughout his years serving in ministry, Jamison has led in different roles such as youth pastor, worship pastor, and campus pastor.

Jamison has been married to Raquel Horton for thirteen years and together they have four beautiful children. Together they have walked in ministry with both passion and grace and always pursuing God's will.
​
His heart is to serve people well and he's passionate about seeing them live out God's plan and purpose for their life as well as expanding God's kingdom.
TWANY DOTZLER
SECRETARY/TREASURER
Twany and her husband Ron have 14 children and 20 grandchildren. They're the founders of Bridge Church and Abide, an inner city mission in Omaha, Nebraska with a mission to revitalize the inner city, one neighborhood at a time.
Twany's been in ministry for 30 years and led a women's network, youth outreaches, bible studies and discipleship groups as well as children’s church.
Twany’s passion is to value the poor and marginalized. Her call is to work alongside her husband to activate the church to "get out of the seats and into the streets" so that people can experience the love of God.
Rebecca Lee
BOARD MEMBER
Becca was adopted at 9 months into a Christian family with 7 brothers and sisters. Her parents taught her the value of respect and compassion which she carries whoever she goes.
Her passion for families affected by disabilities started at a young age due to her perusal story and growing up with siblings who have disabilities as well. Her passion blossomed when she was 18 and was offered a change to work with a child with special needs in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Since than God has opened up opportunities for her to serve at her local churches, summer retreats, and even in her workplace.
MERARI MARTINEZ
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Merari is the mom of three awesome kids: Camila, Yariv and Jared. Merari, her husband César and their kids live in Monterrey Mexico. Merari home schools her three children with the purpose of raising them up to be world changers.
Her and her family serve at their local church. Growing up as a pastors kid, Merari has served the church in many different areas. She is passionate about music and enjoys using that gift to serve the church.
She is also a translator and interpreter. For several years she has interpreted for many different groups and translated the book, "Out of the Seats and into the Streets" in Spanish!
